About Pacific Coast Installations, Inc. (PCI)

Pacific Coast Installations, Inc. (PCI) was founded in 1984.  At that time, PCI was one of the original DuPont™ Corian® certified fabricators.  In fact, PCI was instrumental in helping establish the warranty program as we know it today.  PCI was a wholesale Corian fabricator dealing mostly with Kitchen and Bath dealers, small custom builders and commercial accounts.  PCI established one of the first if not the first published suggested retail price lists for Corian retailers to use.  PCI started out in about 1200 square feet of space with 4 employees to the present with over 22,000 square feet and 40+ employees.
 

Manufacturing Division
 

This division does projects for hotels, hospitals, student housing, military housing or other large volume, repetitive type projects.  PCI has become very proficient in producing kitchen counter tops, vanity tops wall caps, window sills, tub/shower surrounds, tables, nurses stations, dividers….almost anything that you can imagine.
 

PCI has pioneered a concept for the Solid Surface industry that is common in other trades—that of contract fabrication.  Contract fabrication is a method of saving money for the end user.  The traditional way of pricing is that PCI estimates the material needed for the project, the labor to fabricate, and marks up the whole lot.  With contract fabrication, PCI estimates the material and the customer pays for the material at the time the material is received at PCI.  PCI then fabricates the project and bills the labor under normal terms.  If installation is desired, then a quote for that will be available also.  This method usually saves our customer 10%-20% over doing a job in a traditional manner.  Contract fabrication only works when there is enough quantity to justify the savings. 
 

PCI fabricates and ships for our customers across the USA and across the Pacific.  Our crating for these projects is outstanding and we rarely if ever, have freight damage due to insufficient packaging.  We also fabricate jobs for other Solid Surface installers who do not have our capacity.
 

Custom Division

Pacific Coast Installations, Inc. (PCI) is still very involved with its core business, that of custom fabrication.  This encompasses all of the individual jobs that we do for commercial and residential installations.  It may be a custom kitchen and or vanity or shower for someone’s home or it may be the medical or dental counter tops that are found in the medical offices or the reception areas of an office.  This division makes all the one off vanities or kitchens that are found in your home, in the offices that you work in or visit or at Disneyland rest rooms or food vendors or Boeing Aerospace manufacturing to name a few examples.  We also do work for public areas of hotels such as reception desks, bell stands, vendor counter tops.  We have capabilities to thermoform (bending with heat applications) Solid Surface for different looks and applications such as tables, decorative applications and functional uses such as edges and aprons for counter tops.
